About Us

Hi, I am Aarush Reddy, a senior part of the CREST Bioscience program at Paradise Valley High School. In Kannada, my native language, we call our grandmother “Ajji.” Mine lives an ocean away in India, and after the pandemic, she had a series of respiratory illnesses. I felt helpless, unable to be there for someone who helped raise me. That pain pushed me to act. If I couldn’t help my own Ajji, maybe I could help someone else’s. This, combined with the fact that I noticed a lot of seniors are not visited by their family members in retirement homes, inspired me to create SafeStepsNow. A way to keep seniors socially interactive while also helping them stay healthy through fall prevention seminars.
